Dade County Jail Mugshots
Dade County does not publish an official Dade-specific mugshot gallery, daily booking-photo report, or recent-bookings photo page in the county sources reviewed. The Dade County Sheriff's Office remains the local jail and arrest-record starting point. The official directory and Missouri sheriff dataset place the sheriff's office and Dade County Jail at 201 E Water St, Greenfield, with the main sheriff phone listed as 417-637-2312. That is the right first call for a Dade arrest, booking record, jail log, or booking photograph request.
Cedar County's official sheriff page links to a Public Safety Cloud/JailTracker roster. Cedar County's detention rules say the facility houses Cedar County inmates and inmates from several other counties, and a Missouri State Highway Patrol release involving a Dade case placed the person in Cedar County Jail. The JailTracker app assemblies include OffenderImage and Image fields, but they also include a setting named HideInmateImageUnlessLoggedOn. Because the live roster did not render a sample profile during static inspection, Dade County jail mugshots should not be promised as publicly visible online.
What is public: Missouri law supports access to arrest reports, but photo release can still be affected by roster settings, redaction rules, and whether the record is held by Dade, Cedar, DOC, or another agency.
Search Dade County Booking Photos
The safest search order follows custody. A recent Dade arrest may not appear online before intake, prosecutor review, and any regional transfer are complete. A person held at Cedar County Detention Center may appear in the Cedar JailTracker roster if the agency publishes the entry. A person sentenced to state prison is searched through Missouri DOC, not a county mugshot gallery. A federal or immigration detainee should be searched through BOP or ICE for custody status, not for a public booking-photo feed.
- Call Dade County Sheriff's Office at 417-637-2312 for Dade arrest, booking, and photo request routing.
- Check the Cedar County sheriff page and its official "Who is Currently in Jail" roster link when Cedar housing is possible.
- If a roster profile appears, review the name, booking date, arresting agency, charges, bond, release, and any image area that is actually visible.
- If no public image appears, send a Missouri Sunshine Law request to Dade County Sheriff's Office asking for the arrest report, booking record, and any booking photograph.
- Search Case.net for the filed case number if the request needs to cite the court case connected to the arrest.
- Use DOC, BOP, or ICE locators only for custody status after transfer to those systems.
The official Cedar sheriff page is the source that connects the public to JailTracker for the regional roster path.
That source supports checking Cedar for regional custody. It does not prove that every Dade County booking photo will be visible there.
Dade County Mugshot Fields
When a public roster displays a booking photo, the photo usually sits beside custody fields that identify the booking and charge. For Dade County, the confirmed field inventory comes from the Cedar JailTracker app assemblies rather than a rendered sample inmate profile. The table highlights the photo-related field and the surrounding roster fields that may help verify whether the entry is the correct person.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| OffenderImage or Image | Photo field exposed by the JailTracker app assemblies; public visibility was not confirmed. |
| HideInmateImageUnlessLoggedOn | A roster setting that can hide the inmate image unless access conditions are met. |
| Name fields | First, middle, last, and full-name fields used to identify the person. |
| Booking identifiers | Arrest number, jacket, booking-number display flag, or offender view key. |
| Book and arrest dates | Original book date/time, arrest date, release date/time, and related custody timing fields. |
| Charge details | Charge description, arrest code, crime type, level, court name, case number, and status fields. |
| Bond and holds | Bond amount, bond type, hold type, reason for hold, hold date, and hold-expiration fields. |
Note: A visible booking photo confirms that the roster displayed an image for that entry; it does not prove guilt or final case outcome.
Dade County Mugshot Law
Missouri does not have a Dade-only mugshot rule in the research. The relevant law begins with Missouri open-record treatment for arrest reports. RSMo 610.100 defines an arrest report as a law-enforcement record of an arrest and related detention or confinement incident with the charge. It also says Missouri law-enforcement agencies, county agencies, and municipalities must maintain incident, investigation, and arrest records, and that all incident reports and arrest reports are open records, subject to listed limits.
Key Statutes:
RSMo 610.100 defines arrest reports and makes arrest and incident reports open records, with closure and redaction rules.
RSMo 407.1150 defines booking photographs for Missouri's commercial publication rule and bars charging a subject to remove or correct criminal-record information.
Those laws do not mean every photo must appear on a live roster. Investigative reports, safety risks, victim details, confidential sources, sexual-offense victim identity, and some other material may be closed or redacted. A records request should ask for the arrest report, booking record, and any booking photograph connected to the named person and arrest date.
Request Dade County Booking Photos
A booking-photo request should go to the record holder. For a Dade arrest, that usually means the Dade County Sheriff's Office at 201 E Water St, Greenfield, MO 65661. Since no Dade sheriff records-request form was located in the sources, the practical route is a written Missouri Sunshine Law request that identifies the person and record. Include the full name, date of arrest if known, arresting agency, Case.net case number if known, and a clear request for the arrest report, booking record, and booking photograph.
| Request Detail | Why It Helps |
|---|---|
| Full legal name | Reduces mismatches in a small county or regional jail roster. |
| Date of arrest | Helps locate the correct booking and report. |
| Arresting agency | Separates Dade sheriff, city, patrol, or outside-agency records. |
| Case number | Connects the jail request to the court record when charges are filed. |
| Specific records requested | Names the arrest report, booking record, and booking photograph. |
If the court case file is needed, the Dade Circuit Clerk has a separate Request for Record/Copy process with copy fees and an ID-copy rule for mail or email requests. Court copies are not the same as jail booking photographs.
Mugshot Roster Limits
The research did not locate a Dade County rule stating how long booking photos stay online, whether released inmates remain visible for a fixed period, or whether old jail photos are searchable by the public. The JailTracker app assembly includes fields such as FinalReleaseDateTime, ShowCurrentInmatesOnly, and ReleasedSinceValue. Those fields show the platform can support current-only or released-since behavior, but they do not prove the current Cedar or Dade-facing configuration.
For current custody, use the roster and phone check together. For older Dade County jail mugshots, a public-record request to the sheriff is more reliable than searching for archived images online. If the person is no longer in county custody because of a state sentence, the Missouri DOC Offender Search may show active state offender information, but it is not a county booking-photo archive. DOC also omits discharged offenders and some records for safety, security, or confidentiality reasons.
Dade County Mugshot Removal
Dade County did not publish a local official mugshot removal policy. For official jail or court records, the proper path is not a private removal demand. It is a court process when the record is eligible to be sealed or expunged. RSMo 610.122 covers certain arrest-record expungement conditions. The Dade Circuit Clerk page lists expungements in its court-cost schedule with an additional $250 surcharge, which confirms that expungement is handled through court records, not a roster note alone.
Missouri's commercial mugshot law is different. RSMo 407.1150 makes it unlawful for a person publishing or disseminating criminal-record information to solicit or accept payment from the subject individual to remove or correct the information. That statute defines booking photograph and criminal-record information for this rule. It does not erase the official arrest record by itself.
Removal limit: A dismissed charge or expungement question should be checked through the court record and clerk process, not through a paid private photo-removal offer.
Court Records Are Different
Case.net and Dade Circuit Clerk records show court activity after an arrest. They can show formal charges, court dates, docket entries, bond orders, disposition, sentence, costs, and copy availability. They are not mugshot galleries. If a booking photo is needed to document a jail intake, request the jail record from the Dade sheriff or the holding agency. If the filed charge or disposition is needed, search Dade County court records after arrest and ask the clerk for the copy.
The Dade County Prosecuting Attorney page helps explain why the distinction matters.
Prosecutor filing turns an arrest into a court case, but it does not convert the court docket into a booking-photo database.
Federal and State Photos
No BOP, ICE, or U.S. Marshals detention facility was located inside Dade County. Federal and immigration custody use separate locators. The BOP Inmate Locator covers federal sentenced inmates from 1982 to present and warns that release dates can change due to sentence-credit review. ICE ODLS uses either A-number and country of birth or name, country of birth, and date of birth. Those tools locate custody; they are not public federal mugshot galleries.
| System | Photo Expectation | Best Use |
|---|---|---|
| Dade sheriff record | Request any booking photo if held by the local agency. | Dade arrest and booking records. |
| Cedar JailTracker | Image fields exist, but public visibility was not confirmed. | Current regional custody check. |
| Missouri DOC | State offender records are separate from county booking photos. | Active prison, probation, or parole search. |
| BOP | No public mugshot gallery through the locator. | Federal sentenced inmate status. |
| ICE | No public booking-photo gallery through ODLS. | Immigration detention lookup. |
The BOP locator is relevant only when the person is in federal custody.
For a Dade County booking photo, the local or regional jail record holder remains the better source than any federal locator.
